In his March 27, 2020 Order, Governor DeSantis has ordered suspended all vacation rental operations of a house, condominium, cooperative or other dwelling unit:
- for stays of less than 30 days/1 month; or
- for places advertised as regularly rented to guests; or
- are otherwise regulated by the DBPR.
This does not include long-term rentals, rentals that began on or before March 28, 2020, commercially operated hotels and motels, or rentals to military, governmental, health or infrastructure response personnel.
This Order expires on April 10, 2020, unless extended by further orders.
Boards of directors for community associations should be aware of this order and reject any applications for rentals that fall within these guidelines.
